The Systems Engineer – Remote Ground Stations performs a key role in developing the future in DigitalGlobe ground station architecture. The SE-RGS is responsible for engaging with key stake holders to determine future requirements, and will develop standards which will scale solutions to meet DigitalGlobe’s scalability needs. The SE-RGS will work closely with implementation teams to ensure that ground stations are meeting operational objectives.
Engage with stakeholders to determine future ground station requirements
Create and document standards for DigitalGlobe ground stations
Conduct research into next generation technologies
Determine the architecture which positions DigitalGlobe ground stations for success
Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure that systems are implemented with the highest level of performance
Improve operational excellence by aligning future architecture with current operations
Engage with internal and external customers to ensure business objectives are met
Interface with key vendors and partners to deliver DigitalGlobe solutions
Other duties as assigned
A minimum of 2 years in system engineering
U.S. Citizen with a current DoD Clearance (Secret) or the ability to obtain one
Ability to travel up to 5% of the year
Bachelor degree in engineering, aerospace or a related field, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with satellite ground station infrastructure including antennas, radios and processing systems
