ManTech Geospatial Analyst, Journeyman in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Geospatial Analyst, Journeyman to join our team in the Washington, D.C. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Geospatial Information Specialist performs the following: Develops and maintains geographical information systems databases, applications and tools.

  • Compile geospatial data, conducts analysis, develops models, and produces maps and reports.

  • Maintain and refine existing map databases to reflect the latest data.

  • Create, analyze, manage, and display geographic information that will result in intelligent, informed decisions by the program office.

  • Apply mathematical and statistical theories to collect, organize, understand, and summarize numerical data to provide information to the project office.

  • Develop products that inform and enhance the ability to access capabilities and optimal deployment strategies as they pertain to operational requirements.

  • Support Web mapping in ArcGIS. Integrate GIS with other computer applications.

  • Research and investigate new GIS and data analytics techniques and products. Use existing large databases (ESSENCE, NHANES, etc.).

  • Use SAS, STATA, R (or similar programming languages) to conduct complex statistical analysis and model small to large datasets.

  • Report technical data findings.

  • Inventory CBP systems and link tools available for use by CBP.

  • Develop training and exercises in support of emergency management objectives.

  • Develop after-action reports and lessons learned in response to exercises and real-world events.

  • Support CBP's involvement in Component, Department, and Interagency working groups.

  • Develop and maintain plans and procedures for emergency planning and response operations.

  • Respond to taskings and develop correspondence, where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in geography, planning, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with emphasis in geographic information systems (GIS).

  • Experience with ArcGIS Desktop Mapping Software and possess a minimum of two years of documented statistical experience.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project and/or SharePoint.

  • 2 years of position-specific relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification. ESRI Technical Certification.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
