Kapsch TrafficCom seeks to employ System Integration Engineer – Team Lead for its Austin, Texas office. Duties include: Lead the Validation and Integration Team (Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers) effort for system behavior and design integrity compliance to pre-defined and/or specific customer requirements; Develop master plans, factory acceptance test plans, operation test plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, and standard operating procedures; Conduct validation and/or integration tests of new or existing processes, equipment, or software in accordance with internal protocols or external standards; Analyze test data to determine whether systems and/or processes have met criteria. Identify root causes of problems; Identify deviations from established product or process standards and provide recommendations for resolving deviations; Coordinate the implementation or scheduling of integration testing with affected departments and personnel; Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or systems; Plan integration work flow in relation to project delivery schedules, identify and escalate roadblocks or gaps; Prioritize project work and delegate tasks to project team members; Train and mentor new staff in validation and integration processes; and Point of contact for interfacing with other solution centers. Travel is required approximately 30% of the time to locations throughout the United States. At all times and in all locations, the System Integration Engineer – Team Lead will work under the control and supervision of Kapsch TrafficCom. Must have four years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test and Integration Engineering or related experience and two years of experience with: testing back office solutions and systems; defect tracking software tools; regression test tools; load and performance testing tools; and test case management tools.
