For more than three decades, human space flight has been supported by advanced robotics developed by MDA. We have combined complex robotics with control software to develop the Space Shuttle's Canadarm and the Mobile Servicing System for the International Space Station. MDA is currently seeking a candidate to support development of Database Applications on the L&SE Space Station program. The candidate will:

  • Design and build software products for MDA using technologies such as

  • C#

  • TypeScript

  • .NET Core

  • SQL Server

  • Javascript

  • React/Redux, etc.

  • Create test cases for implemented projects and bug fixes

  • Provide user support to resolve user issues

  • Define database interface, model and engineer solutions that are performant and maintainable.

  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation such as, data dictionaries, ERDs, Test Plan, Test Report, User Manual etc.

  • Participate as a member in Agile teams, and work with other team members to review user stories, estimate effort for user stories, and participate in sprint reviews

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Five or more years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency across a variety of software application and computer systems

  • Excellent working knowledge of C#, HTML, Javascript, ECMA Script 6, Entity Framework, UX Design, Web API and SQL Server

  • Knowledge of WPF, XAML, .NET Core, EF. Core, ODATA, React/Redux and Windows Services would be an additional asset

  • Hands on experiences in multi-tiered architecture application environment

  • Experience working in medium and large teams

  • Experience interfacing with the user community

  • Excellent project management, analytical, problem solving, communication and organization skills

  • Strong human relations skills

  • Dedication to meet project deadlines

  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Production of quality deliverables within time and resource constraints

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker

The candidate must have strong verbal and written English communication skills as well as the ability to excel in a team environment. All candidates must be able to obtain both CGP and ITAR clearance.
