The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Finance Manager in managing the business unit's performance to plan and established rates. The Financial Analyst will support Department Managers in financial management and reporting deliverables to Finance and Management.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Financial Reporting - Participation in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and annual business plan; preparation of monthly financial reports
Cost Control - Perform cost control function by reviewing requests in light of budget and forecast constraints; review actual costs and investigate costs that appear out of place or inconsistent with expectations; evaluate and approve purchase requisitions, ensuring consistency with budget parameters
Prepare comparative manpower data to be used in projecting manpower requirements.
General Support -- Prepare analysis as needed using existing tools / creating Excel or other tools as appropriate
Program Financial Support -- provide back-up support to the Program Finance Manager in establishing program budgets and estimates consistent with the approved plan and using Earned Value Management system for evaluating performance on US government programs
Bachelor in Business Administration or relevant discipline
3-5 years of professional experience analyzing data
Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint
Must be resourceful and self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of business application (Word, Outlook, etc.)
Visual Basic knowledge is a plus
Prior experience in the DoD or aerospace industry a plus
Able to interface effectively with shared services departments, technical organization, industry partners, and customers
Knowledge of FAR and CAS a plus
Exposure to Deltek Costpoint, Cobra and/or Anaplan a plus
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
