Job Summary

DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Devops engineer. This position will be full time and remote .

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform & AWS CloudFormation

  • Automate provisioning and configuration of servers, containers, and resources on Cloud and on-Premises.

  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and similar tools (Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD, etc.) with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Automate software builds, testing, and deployments using Python, Groovy, Bash, etc.

  • Continuously improve deployment processes and reduce release cycle times.

  • Lead containerization efforts using Docker and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

  • Optimize and scale containerized applications for production.

  • Implement and maintain advanced monitoring solutions to track application and infrastructure performance (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, etc.).

  • Set up centralized logging systems (Datadog, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.).

  • Lead incident response efforts to maintain system availability and minimize downtime.

  • Administer/Manage DevOps platforms and tools like Jenkins.

  • Implement security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipeline.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Architect and implement scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions.

  • Plan for disaster recovery and business continuity.

  • Mentor and guide junior DevOps team members.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps best practices throughout the organization.

  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between development and operations teams.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Practice Root Cause Analysis to determine the scope and scale of the issue's impact.

  • Create epics/stories and construct automation to prevent problem recurrence.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Extensive experience in a DevOps role (5+ years), with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.

  • Experience with multi-cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) with proficiency in AWS.

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles with proficiency in Terraform & AWS CloudFormation

  • Experience with AWS tools such as S3, Glue, Aurora, RDS, EC2, EMR, Redshift, ECS, SageMaker, Lambda Functions, AMI, VPC, and SAML Roles & Policies

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.).

  • Experience in configuring & setting up CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Proficiency in automation using Jenkins Pipelines as a Code

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker & Kubernetes).

  • Ability to collaborate with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams.

  • Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based on project deadlines.

  • Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
