The Regional Analyst – Human Geographer is responsible for extracting relevant information from open–source and classified information sources to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products for a national agency client. We are looking for a motivated geographer to work with us in Quantico, VA. Duties shall include, but are not limited to: - Acquire, manage, and make available all geospatial derived data and raw data sources obtained for assigned area relating to Human Geography. - Create geospatial data, obtaining classified and open source and using GIS in order to integrate these raw data sources into new datasets. - Perform complex empirical suitability studies using geospatial modeling to provide a wide range of analytical products that will be used by customers across the globe. - Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and ability to prioritize tasks in a manner compatible with customer deadlines. - Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cartographic and Geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats. - Collaborate with human geographers in creating country assessments. - Create analytics for projects ranging from local studies to regional trends. - Knowledge and experience with cross-platform, commercial and government exploitation tools such as ArcMap, ERDAS IMAGINE, Google Earth, Arc Catalog. - Demonstrated MS Word, PowerPoint, and graphic design skills. - Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. - Demonstrated customer support skills. - Collaborate effectively with regional analysts, geospatial analysts, imagery analysts, military officers, cartographers, intelligence analysts, engineers, technicians, managers, vendors, or other customers. - Knowledge gained through cartographic experience, regional accounts, imagery tasks, program management, or geospatial tasks. - Ability to perform complex analyses and to communicate results using accurate, concise, and effective writing using descriptive and graphical representations.
Journeyman: 5+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience
Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience
Experience with human terrain analysis
Experience using geospatial data sources from industry, academia, the Intelligence Community, the Military, and the scientific community
Experience using ArcGIS to create geospatial products
To be qualified, you MUST be a US Citizen and must have and be able to maintain an ACTIVE TS/SCI Security Clearance with poly.
