This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

The position provides managerial direction and leadership of agency wide efforts to target, identify, and execute on agency fiscal efficiency opportunities. Responsibilities include directing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, definitions, and governance structure that provides the best options for the agency to reach its goals and initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.

The position oversees the implementation of the agency’s fiscal system enhancements, manages the development and implementation of standards tools and business processes, and serves as an agency liaison to internal and external stakeholders providing leadership and support as a business project manager. Lastly, the position assists the Chief Financial Officer in matters of advance fiscal, legislative, financial, and economic activities that support the strategic direction of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of managerial experience OR three years of professional supervisory experience OR four years of advanced professional experience that demonstrates public administration or business administration in a large organization.

Experience must include:

  • Experience managing large systems or system implementation projects.

  • Experience developing and implementing policies, rules, standards, or procedures.

  • Experience developing strategies, goals, and plans to implement programs or initiatives.

  • Planning experience to include planning and organizing resources, formulating and evaluating alternatives, and recommending courses of action.
