What you’ll do:

•Identify product opportunities through human-centered discovery and research methods, contribute to complex UI/UX ecosystems, and inspire product teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

•Execute visual design stages from early storyboarding concept to final hand-off.

•Create 3D UI views for building and devices in big screen, dashboard, HMI, etc that suit into the existing design system and pushing bundary of where innovation can happen and make design and experience attractive.

•Create motion design and interaction prototype for UI.

•Being able to work independely in visual design details and collaborate closely with design thinking strategist, UX designer, ID designer, engineers, business professionals to create storyboarding, low-fi and/or hi-fi prototypes for mobile/PC/web/HMI, persona, journey maps and other visual design assets guide products from inception through delivery.

•Managing figma layer, components, variables, conditions and other prototype settings in an organized and matured manner.

•Translate research and business plans into product concepts that lead to intuitive user experiences and appealing interface

•Conduct desktop reserach, user research and evaluate user feedback

•Promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

•Facilitating product definition and development by support creating personas, journey maps, research reports, sketches, wireframes and prototypes

•Execute across all project phases, produce high-quality UX/UI design solutions through desktop research, user research, storyboarding, low-fi wireframes, high-fi prototypes, visual design, usibility testing, etc for Eaton's digital products and solutions, including but not limited to mobile, PC, web, HMI.

•Effectively advocate for users in a corporate climate, providing day-to-day design leadership

•Scope, schedule, plan UI design activity details for owned design projects/modules.

•Guide internal colleagues, design vendors and interns in project delivery when needed

•Conduct interaction design, user flow design when needed

•Plan and facilitate Design Thinking workshops across a diverse group of businesses and product lines when needed

•Ability to travel up to 15% internationally and domestically when needed

•Working hours that accommodate International time zones

•This Position is an onsite position, in Shanghai with remote working flexibility. This is not a full-time remote position.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 year of professional UI design experience

• Pixel perfect, solid visuall design skills, knowlege in typography, iconography, layout, responsive design, and other UI design areas, demonstrate UI skill with a strong portfolio, being able to have UI design case study with detailed figam design file to discuss in interview

• Experienced with 3Ds Max, Blender or other modeling and rendering tool for UI design scenario

• Experienced with figma for both UI and prototype

• Familier with material design system

• Experience with HMI design, big screen design

• Experienced with mobile UI design for both iOS and andriod, various resolutions

• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

• Familiar with UX design principles, has interaction design sense and willing to learn and do research interaction design as needed

• The ability to grasp diverse customer needs and distill them into clean, understandable attractive solutions.

• Experience and exposure to Design Thinking tools and methodologies.

• Good storyboarding and digital visual communication skills

• Must have an online portfolio of UI design that can be accessed via link on resume or application.

• User research experience as a plus

• Experience with Agile software development as a plus

• Font design experience as a plus

• Familiar with design thinking as a plus
