The Second Language Teaching and Research Center (L2TReC) supports research on Second Language (L2) Acquisition and works with L2 teachers at all levels of instruction. L2TReC serves as the administrative hub for the Utah Bridge Program team. L2TReC is seeking a .5 Program Manager to serve as Bridge Program Spanish Coordinator with a start date of June 1, 2024. The Coordinator will work as team members under the direction of the Bridge Program Manager. Coordinators work across languages as needed in order to support program implementation, including conducting regular high school site instructional coaching visits, coordinating team meetings and curriculum revision, and designing professional learning for high school and university instructors. L2TReC is open to coordination with the Department of Languages and Cultures to create a combined full time position (e.g., .5FTE Coordinator and .5FTE Spanish adjunct faculty teaching Bridge Program courses), which involves a separate application and interview.
