The CDM Data Services Program mission is to provide a standardized platform to collect, transform, and integrate cybersecurity data from relevant authoritative data sources into a coherent data, delivering actionable information into Agency and Federal Dashboards to identify risk areas in support of mitigation as well as to facilitate coordinated agency and national response to cyber-threats.

This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:

We are on the lookout for an exceptional Platform Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll contribute to ensuring that our platforms operate optimally and meet the highest level of industry standards and customer requirements. As part of our team, you will have the chance to navigate challenging projects and cement your position within a critical role striving for the highest quality outcomes.

More About the Role:

  • Work directly with the platform development team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the platform's components and functionalities.

  • Manage and perform platform testing activities across various operating systems, browser combinations, and device types.

  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs meticulously.

  • Develop platform-specific testing methodologies.

  • Develop, Document, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.

  • Develop and maintain automated tests via script generation, Selenium, etc.

  • Conduct test activities such as modular, regression, security, and stress testing to measure system performance.

  • Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation functions.

  • Assess or generate system requirements, acceptance criteria and generate detailed defects.

  • Provide feedback to developers about automated testing strategies, design fixes, and patches.

  • Troubleshoot and provide support to end users and or external applications.

  • Develop and execute automated tests and manual tests to collect metrics and generate artifacts for use by government Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testers.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a robust strategy for testing.

  • Utilize integration tests to validate the implementation of the data requirements in accordance with the Interface Control Document and other documents.

  • Facilitate solution testing in ManTech cloud-based lab environments.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen and pass a background investigation.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

  • A minimum of 3 years' proven work experience as a Platform Test Engineer or similar role.

  • Proficient in various testing tools, methodologies, and processes for platform testing.

  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the platform including the front-end, the backend, and the database is a plus.

  • Good programming skills including scripting for automation testing.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Linux OS as well as bash/sh scripts.

  • Experience with developing test plans, procedures, report generation and maintenance.

  • Understand and perform exploratory testing.

  • Identify, verify, and report defects; perform root cause analysis by inspecting application logs and through use of browser developer tools, etc.

  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.

  • Experience with using the Jira ticketing system to coordinate issue resolution.

  • Ability to work well in an independent and team environment.

  • Flexibility and ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detailed oriented and excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside of the box to design effective solutions.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position will interact with senior level executives.

  • Cloud Certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
