Role and Responsibilities

KBR has an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer to support the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) Point Mugu, CA operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The applicant will support the integration of Electronic Warfare (EW) test systems and generating models and simulation of the latest RF (Radiofrequency) threats.

  • Support lab integration and simulation development scheduling

  • Develop EW threat simulation from EWIRDB for use with RF simulators

  • Providing expert guidance for RF simulation development and support simulation verification through testing

  • Research/develop emitters/modes RF threat simulation to run on RF simulator for testing of EW radar receiver

  • Produce emitter simulations using A2PATS (SimUI and SMB) and NEWEG infrastructure to replicate threat radars for static and dynamic scenarios.

  • Test/Validate the RF threat simulation against the latest intel report and provide test analysis report with recommendation

  • Supporting full HW/SW integration, conducting acceptance testing, validating system performance through systematic regression testing and comprehensive data analysis.

  • Developing and providing personnel training in the area of RF simulation and Intel database such as EWIRDB.

REQUIREMENTS

  • U. S. Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance--candidates without U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance will NOT be considered

  • The applicant shall have in-depth knowledge of airborne EW (Electronic Warfare) system engineering design, development, integration, and testing.

  • Experience in understanding and analyzing EW intelligence databases.

  • Knowledgeable on constructing emitters using A2PATS to mimic emitter modes and antenna models.

  • Knowledge in using multiple tools in analyzing signals using spectrum analyzer, Oscilloscope.

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project).

  • Work within an integrated government/contractor team.

  • BS degree in an engineering discipline with at least 10 years of EW/RF related experience.

    Basic Compensation:

$118,000-$177,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
