POSITION SUMMARY

The FASD/SEI (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Substance Exposed Infants) Program Manager will manage all aspects of the FASD/SEI project including facilitation of a statewide coalition addressing all aspects of infants affected by substance exposure, and leadership of ongoing workgroups to ensure effective implementation of the strategies and achievement of the programmatic goals defined in the statewide FASD/SEI plan. The Program Manager supervises the SEI/FASD Specialist under the direction of the Vice President and in collaboration with funders and key stakeholders across the state.

$5,000 Sign on! Half upon hire and half at 1 year of service.

Education and Experience / Qualifications

BA/BS degree in behavioral health, public health, or human services related field is required but MA/MS degree is preferred. At least three years of related experience required. Computer literacy is also required.

Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions

Currently Certified Prevention Professional preferred (or willingness to become certified).

Valid Drivers License is required. Safely operates vehicle in the community, based on program needs

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coordinates and manages all aspects of the project to meet all project goals and the expectations of the funders. Maintains accountability for the achievement of program goals and staff compliance with organizational goals and deadlines.

    Hires, trains, and supervises staff according to Wheeler policy.

    Develops and chairs a core team of key stakeholders to provide oversight and guidance of the work associated with achieving the statewide long-term goals.

    Organizes and facilitates workgroups to address the goals and objectives of the statewide plan.

    Develops, distributes and monitors all activities of a FASD/SEI Statewide Plan.

    Maintains relationships with program stakeholders including but not limited to DCF and DMHAS, federal partners, treatment agencies, and community organizations.

    Shares information and technical assistance, collect and disseminate current literature on FASD/SEI intervention and scientifically validated FASD/SEI intervention approaches.

    Disseminates FASD/SEI education and training programs for providers to promote awareness, understanding, and competency in the topic of FASD/SEI.

    Develops and maintains a website to promote FASD/SEI awareness and prevention as well as share all activities, reports, and resources.

    Attends regular administrative meetings and other meetings with DCF and DMHAS, stakeholders, and partners, as required, to report on accomplishments, challenges, progress, and next steps.

    Develops and maintains records of all activities and meetings planned/held, including agendas, attendance, minutes, and reports.

    Provides regular updates and reports as required by the funder.

    Adheres to all relevant program standards, guidelines, codes of ethics, and confidentiality.

    Develops and maintains holistic knowledge of populations being served including cultural, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender, and ability difference. Provides culturally competent services and maintains sensitivity to and respect for clients' cultural traditions, values, and beliefs.

    Promotes the Center for Prevention, Wellness and Recovery at Wheeler Clinic and its activities throughout the state.

    Works with the Vice President to develop, monitor, and analyze program outcomes and develop and monitor quality improvement program goals.

    Interfaces and collaborates with funders, and other community stakeholders to support positive system development and to promote Wheeler Clinic’s reputation as an innovative quality service provider.

    Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
