Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team working on mission critical applications for the US Army! In this role you will get to design and document new data model capabilities utilizing Agile processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing and managing a Unified Data Model for the system

• Decomposing requirements

• Decomposing capabilities in legacy software applications to be rebuilt leveraging an agile methodology

• Documenting software design using various tools

• Providing official DoD documentation

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• U.S. Citizenship is required

• Active Secret clearance is preferred; candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance

• Obtained a degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, or have equivalent work experience with demonstrable capabilities and results.

• Published documentation for external consumption by various stakeholders.

• Experience with communicating system design to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with conducting system decomposition, technical writing, and modeling (to include use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams).

• Experience with designing, implementing, and/or documenting data architecture and data models.

• Experience with designing and documenting system architecture and data flows for a large system, made up of several microservices/modules.

• Worked on existing FIRES or Mission Command related systems.

• Experience with the Agile or Scrum development methodology.

• Experience working as part of a software development team

• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket/Stash, Nexus)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Understand military concepts

• Have worked with MagicDraw

• Comfortable with JSON-based schemas

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
