Planate Management Group LLC Program Manager (to be based in Iraq) in Norfolk, Virginia

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Program Manager will support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS) in managing the operation of the task order and is the focal point for task order functions and personnel. This position will ensure that the quality of work meets or exceeds customer standards, and services are provided in a timely manner. Responsible for communicating relevant project information to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

This position will be based in Iraq and is contingent on the award of the contract

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Ensures compliance with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.

  • Responsible for managing, monitoring, and tracking the services to be provided.

  • Acts as the Contractor’s representative ensuring that all task order requirements are met.

  • Has primary responsibility for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs.

  • Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements.

  • Plan and manage service schedules, quality assurance, and safety programs.

  • Control resources; monitor staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor the locations and activities of assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from staff and representatives.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Ten (10) years of project or program management and/or vehicle and fleet maintenance management support services with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in providing such services to large facilities or operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with business management, contracts or related field.

  • Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM). Preferably with relevant overseas vehicle maintenance experience.

  • Valid driver’s license from home of record.

  • Must have secret clearance (Top Secret Desired)

  • Excellent oral communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to develop implement and maintain paper and computer-based tools for scheduling, tracking and reporting data

  • Strong work ethic and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities

  • Resourceful, self-reliant, self-motivated

  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and is eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
