JPMorgan Chase Automation Developer - Senior Associate in Newark, Delaware

Are you passionate about solving complex problems, transforming processes, improving efficiencies through automation and strengthening business controls?

As an Automation Developer in the Regulatory & Change Management Governance (RCMG) Automation team, you will join a group of professionals responsible for solving complex operational challenges, transforming business processes, introducing automation that improves efficiency, and identifying alignment opportunities. You will be part of a team that is responsible for strategic process improvements through design and implementation of tools, data analytics and machine learning to strengthen business controls and eliminate manual processes.

For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in either our Newark, DE or Jersey City, NJ offices 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform requirement gathering, analysis, design, development and implementation of new workflow needs

  • Partner with business, product owner and key stakeholders to deliver creative solutions providing business value, efficiency & process improvements

  • Design and implement workflows using Java, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Javascript and Restful Application Programming Interface (REST APIs)

  • Modify existing software to fix bugs, adapt to new platforms and environments, and improve its performance

  • Collaborate with the other teams to deliver integrated solutions with a focus on Client experience

  • Design and implement features and applications using object-oriented software

  • Follow Agile development methodologies

  • Develop User Interface using HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  • Communicate with team members and other teams to understand specific workflow requirements

  • Provide technical guidance and support for the development and troubleshooting of workflows

  • Document workflow specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Technology, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field plus 4+ years of experience in Application Development, or related experience

  • 4+ years relevant experience in the financial services industry or background in financial technology

  • Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Javascript and Restful Application Programming Interface (REST APIs) to create and support workflows

  • Confluence, Alteryx, and Siganvio experience

  • Business process re-engineering and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Any type of Workflow Implementation experience using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) or other tools
