Position Overview

The Manager, Communications Design, is primarily in charge of campaign planning execution. In this role, you serve as primary back-up for Associate Media Director/Director in the day-to-day running of the account. You will also supervise the Senior Associates and Media Associates assigned to the group.

The HCP Communications Design team dynamically brings pharmaceutical brands to life through their actions. They are experts in audience and communications behavior, lead the creation of the dynamic omnichannel ecosystem approach, and work with partners to curate how a brand can best connect with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Strategy lead to develop the overall media strategy of assigned media plans, with knowledge of how each channel plays a critical role in the clients' mix
  • Assists with the analysis and evaluation of partner proposals to prepare recommendations that best meet the media objectives and strategies of a plan
  • Oversees the media plan development and negotiations in tandem with the investment team
  • Provides specific work direction to Senior Associates & Associates within his/her group, making expectations and deadlines clear
  • Maintains procedures that produce effective and consistent internal communications to streamline requests and receipt of information and data from other departments within the agency
  • Partners with Senior Associates to review and double-check all document details to identify and correct all errors prior to review with AMDs
  • Functions as a primary point of contact with the clients and agency partners for all requests concerning media planning and strategy; maintains the best possible relationship with clients
  • Interprets, supervises, coordinates, and integrates, as necessary, all assigned media activities, including presentation and interpretation to the client, as required
  • Develops the digital media skills and knowledge base of those more junior as well as supervise, advise and counsel the group in all daily account activities
  • Is alert to new media and new methods of using existing media and new developments, and shares with the planning group of such developments.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an integrated planning role in media, publisher / vendor, or communications discipline (digital, content)
  • Media planning skills must be sufficient and able to be taught to junior team members
  • Ability to delegate, develop and oversee direct reports
  • Strong Presentational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Knowledge and ability to use media tools such as Prisma, Doubleclick, MBOX, etc.
  • Healix does not require candidates to have a college degree

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in the pharmaceutical category (HCP)
  • Two years of media supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and other various outside vendors
  • Knowledge and passion for digital media space

Salary Range
$80,000-$90,000 USD
