The Proposal Writer is a key resource for our global sales teams. This role is responsible for leading and responding to all aspects of Corporate Travel Management RFP/RFI/RFQ and informational requests, working closely with the sales lead to provide consultative and responsive support. This support includes, but is not limited to, leadership of proposal generation, and Pre- & Post-submittal questions throughout the Acquisition process. You will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures, tools, databases, and tracking systems related to managing bid responses.

What You Will Do:

  • The primary responsibility is to work with our Sales and Account Management Teams throughout the entire acquisition process to develop detailed and customized bid responses within the schedule provided. You will called upon to apply effective Project Management methodologies in completing a bid project, including:

  • Leading kick-off, strategy, final check, and post-submittal debrief meetings

  • Completing a Gap Analysis of client needs vs. Amex Egencia's current response capabilities

  • Assessing requirements and communicating with business and technical resources to support the response

  • Working with multiple groups across time zones to get any and all information vital for the bid

  • Building a Plan of Action to deliver all items required to successfully complete the bid

  • Writing and delivering multiple drafts and incorporating feedback into the final proposal

  • Producing and delivering the final bid, which may include both electronic and hard-copies

  • Resolving all post-submittal bid-related questions from the client

  • You will support the maintenance of the RFP Database, stay abreast of competitor practices, keep current on all marketing materials, maintain relevant data in Salesforce, and answer ad-hoc requests.

Who You Are:

You have experience securing new business for an enterprise that help companies optimize their business processes. You have a track record of success working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and collaborative environment while producing high-quality written content. Proven experience crafting client-facing materials, as well as excellent business writing skills that can be flexibly applied to a variety of business needs.

  • 3+ years' experience working as a Proposal Writer responsible for creating bids for a company that has a focus in technology solutions

  • 5+ years experience in support of a Global B2B sales organization leading and responding to inbound/outbound RFP's

  • Awesome research, writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation skills

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

  • Finely honed interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Experience in maintaining content libraries preferred

  • Highly proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to craft a simple and compelling story which drives action

  • Ability to understand the context and requirements of complex bids

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

United States - Virtual Location

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $49,000 to $94,500. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
