Assurance & Advisory Services Manager - Data Analytics

Opportunity

The Manager - Assurance & Advisory Services, Data Analytics is responsible for supporting the data analytics practice within Assurance & Advisory Services. They also give support to audit staff and deliver analytics support and advice to various internal audit projects and anti-fraud initiatives. The Manager - Assurance & Advisory Services, Data Analytics is responsible for the maintenance and development of the company’s Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) platform and services. The Manager - Assurance & Advisory Services, Data Analytics may be required to participate directly in various internal audits or advisory projects requiring specialist skills, as needed.

Specific Responsibilities

As a Manager - Assurance & Advisory Services, Data Analytics, responsibilities include:

  • Assist to develop the data analytics and audit technology roadmap.

  • Manage the delivery of projects in the areas of fraud and internal control risk as well as other special projects/data analytic requests.

  • Lead the development of best practices, continuous monitoring reports and/or ad hoc data analytics, where applicable, to maintain a focus on the related fraud/internal control risk going forward.

  • Provide oversight and direction toward design and development of ad-hoc/continuous monitoring reporting as needed to support internal investigations, special projects and the on-going monitoring of business process and fraud risks.

  • Work with and support various internal and external customers to provide the information they need for various special projects, process audits, anti-fraud initiatives or internal investigations.

  • Direct less senior audit staff in the process of obtaining and analyzing data and communicating insights.

  • Coordinate the review of continuous monitoring reports from the identification of potentially fraudulent activity through documentation of the final resolution.

  • Integrate data analytic techniques into the overall audit process.

  • Stay up to date on changes in audit and analytics technology that would have an impact on the risk environment.

  • Develops and maintains networks of decision makers and key influencers, across functions and global business units.

  • Leads process improvement events and initiatives with business unit stakeholders to improve business performance, manage risks and build relationships.

  • Successfully establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and outside consultants.

Skills/Requirements

  • Expert analytical and numerical skills.

  • Data analytics and/or computer programming skills.

  • Proficiency with visualization concepts and tools.

  • Desirable technical skills include ACL, SQL, Python, Microsoft Azure, process mining tools, machine learning models and knowledge of SAP data structures.

  • Experience analyzing business process data including financial, workforce and master data to provide commercially relevant insight.

  • Comfortable with risk assessment methodologies and basic accounting concepts.

  • Professional qualifications in auditing or accounting are desirable but not essential.

  • Ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of a business, its strategy, processes, and risks.

  • Experience of project management and supervision of staff during the delivery of technical projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and across global business units.

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time to locations throughout the world.

The salary range for this position is $113,000 - $143,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
