Opportunity:

VSO is seeking an experienced candidate to be part of the Network Engineering team responsible for design of the LAN at client's Facility during an amazing period in their history. The network supports many important programs.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Senior-Level coordination with Government, performing a variety of complex network engineering tasks

independently which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated

networks, including personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.

  • Leading major technical/engineering network activities of higher complexity and importance than those normally assigned to

lower-level engineers.

  • Planning and performing network-engineering research, design development, and other

assignments in conformance with network design, engineering, and customer specifications.

  • The completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.

  • Leading a group of engineers, analyst, and/or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead

within a group associated with one of more technical areas.

  • Supervising team of Network Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Site Lead of (7) team members managing center service delivery for all services.

  • Primary interface with the customer

  • Network Engineering support for a 3-layer campus architecture consisting of Cisco switches and routers that provide LAN connectivity as well as VoIP, Collaboration, and wireless services.

  • Planning for the transition of the Stennis LAN into a Software-Defined Architecture utilizing Cisco’s DNAC Appliance and Identity Services Engine (ISE).

  • Detailed design and implementation of the transition of both new and existing Cisco routers and switches into the SDA fabric

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work 100% on-site in Houston, TX

  • Must possess an active TS/ SCI security clearance or above

  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Description

$85,000.00 - $110,000.00
