Metron Aviation is seeking aTechnicalProgram Managerto provide day-to-day program management, and business capture for Metron's ATFM implementation programs. This position requires close coordination with the Engineering, Software Development, Software Testing and Technical Support teams for the execution of the programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the execution of Metron Aviation programs
  • Perform program management tasks: development, monitoring and management of project plan, budgeting, staffing, and schedule of individual customer contracts, whether in development or maintenance phase. Serve as the primary point of contact to the customer for areas of responsibility to include:
    • Provide the necessary management, engineering, skills and services to comply fully with the requirements of the program
    • Plan, administer and control financial, technical, quality, and schedule milestones and objectives
    • Plan, manage, and support the needs of the overall program through the period of performance
    • Implement procedures and processes for effective data, software, and document management
  • Provide support for building and fostering successful working relationship with the customers and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate and coordinate internal resources for the delivery of program deliverables
  • Provide management and technical leadership to meet program milestones, including performing as a liaison between the customer(s) and Metron Aviation Engineering staff
  • Analyze ATFM and airline domain data in conjunction with Harmony-derived data to troubleshoot system issues when raised by customers
  • Provide technical support to the Sales/BD team including advance customer analysis, ROI determination, and technical proposal writing, including support for proposal management for business capture opportunities
  • Support the development team test activities regarding requirements interpretations and test reviews
  • Interface regularly with customers to support program management and deliverables
  • Develop and present technical presentations and deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers and at trade shows
  • Support monthly program reviews with the leadership team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent with 6+ years of experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
    • IT environments, consolidation of data centers, facilities, lifecycle costing/estimating, Airspace Design, Airport Surface management, or Air Traffic Flow Management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong analytical and communications skills (verbal and written) required
  • Able to learn company products and application(s) and perform data analysis
  • Excellent presentation development and delivery
  • Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills required
  • Able to work independently and productively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • International travel in support of program requirements

Preferences:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly desired Experience in working and supporting civil aviation programs preferred
  • Spoken and written fluency in the Spanish language is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing civil aviation concept engineering, development, testing and/or delivery programs preferred
