We’re building the future of satellite imagery processing: a new way to explore the world by harnessing the information that can be extracted from our pictures. Powered by users, developers and a little help from AWS, the DigitalGlobe Geospatial Big Data Platform (GBDX) processes massive amounts of imagery and turns it into valuable insights via remote sensing, Big Data and machine learning techniques. We’re looking for mid-range developers to help support us in this endeavor with the following role:
5+ years of Java web application development with focus on consuming and producing RESTful APIs
Proactive, attentive and enthusiastic work ethic to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
History of working in fast-paced agile software development teams
Capable of integrating with geospatial data and applications
Experience with the following technologies:
Amazon Web Services (AWS):
Able to construct scalable & reliable systems
We expect candidates to quickly familiarize themselves with our ecosystem and perform these duties:
Integrate new functionality and additional services into the system
Create new system workflows to leverage and extend our existing capabilities
Augment system scalability, security and performance
Implement automated unit, integration and system tests
