JOB SUMMARY This position is physically demanding and fast paced. This position requires operating equipment, loading and unloading equipment, and individual pallets. In this position, you will be required to understand and utilize chaining, and rigging techniques along with different lifting and towing techniques. The goal is to handle all our loading, unloading, parking and staging of equipment in the most efficient and safest manner.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

· Unload and load all equipment into/from tractor trailers.

· Prioritize LTL drivers as they arrive (normally just a few pallets).

· Responsible for receipting of all power PO's and attachment PO's.

· Properly tag all equipment using

o New Equipment Tags

o Rental Equipment Tags

o RENEWED Equipment Tags

· Stage all items in the correct inbound staging areas.

· Nothing should be parked in spaces until properly tagged.

· Keep new equipment “shop” outbound cleared out (throughout day).

· Stage next day’s shipments in the outbound (rack outbound).

· Maintain control of the inventory in the entire building.

· Compare Planned vs Actual inbound and Outbound items each week

· Assist in staging OB loads for Drivers

· All equipment must be stood up and placed in the proper spot prior to leaving each day.

· All batteries must be placed in the corresponding equipment prior to leaving each day.

· Empty both trash bins during and prior to leaving each day (Two Green Dumpers).

· Charge the shop trucks prior to leaving each day.

· Sweep and mop dock area (vacuum/sweep/mop against walls).

· Remove all trash and debris.

· Repair or replace floor tape lines as needed.

· Repair or replace damaged floor labels as needed.

· All other duties as assigned or required.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to interact with team members to develop good working relationships

· Basic Mechanical understanding

· High school or equivalent minimum

· Strong mental ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure or stress

· Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and listening

· Must exhibit detail orientation and ability to juggle priorities

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, this position generally works in a warehouse area with exposure to heat, cold, and low light situations with exposure to moving equipment and tool hazards. The associate is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The associate frequently is required to walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 130 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
