Lockheed Martin Program Manager Sr. Manager / Secret / Level 6 / Santa Barbara, CA in Goleta, California

Description: Santa Barbara Focalplane is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a growing portfolio of program areas in space and missile sensors. This position will be responsible for all aspects of capture and execution for a portfolio of programs that are focused on some of the most innovative technology and applications at Santa Barbara Focalplane. This position will be required to foster and grow relationships across a broad internal and external customer base. Candidates will need to demonstrate the following: strong communication skills (verbal, written) and executive presence, ability to accomplish business / program goals without day-to-day direction / tasking, capability and motivation to mentor and grow less experienced program managers, and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines to provide leadership and vision. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the performance and career growth of a team of Program Managers and will report directly to the site General Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Program Management experience managing multiple programs and/or projects

• Experience in new business/capture management, negotiations, and proposal development

• Experience working with suppliers and managing programs with subcontracts key to program performance

• Program management experience in the aerospace / defense industry, managing complex technology development programs, transition to production, and/or production programs.

• Experience with Electro-Optical (EO) and/or Infrared Sensors (IR) systems or technology

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to get a Top Secret

• Leadership of cross-functional teams managing significant efforts, with responsibility for quality/technical, schedule, cost and risk.

• Understanding of program execution and how program performance effects business operations.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause/corrective actions

Desired Skills:

• Technical experience

• Ability to engage and build relationship with peers, customers, and critical stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Top Secret Clearance

• High volume production program experience

• Experience with the development and manufacturing of IR sensors, LIDAR and associated technologies for military, scientific and/or commercial sensing applications.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $146,800 - $281,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $168,800 - $318,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
