Engineering a world of possibilities Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions Marketing & Communications

The Office of Admissions at Colorado School of Mines is excited to welcome a dynamic, creative and experienced Assistant Director to our fast-paced, results-driven team!

The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions Marketing & Communications is responsible for supporting admissions marketing and communication initiatives that help drive recruitment and enrollment goals at Mines. The position reports to the Director of Admissions for Marketing and Communications and is a member of the Enrollment Management Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing and Communications (95%)

Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication initiatives including but not limited to: brand management, content (print, digital, email, web) development, drip email campaign management, digital and print campaigns, web content and design and presentation materials.

Create and execute segmented communication plans that target all phases of the admissions funnel for prospective students and for key influencers.

Using data and surveys, strategically and regularly analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives and make recommendations for enhancements/additions.

Collaborate with cross-campus partners such as University Communications, Office of Graduate Studies, Graduate Student Government, Graduate Departments and Trefny Center to identify marketing and communication needs and develop/execute solutions in a timely, strategic and efficient manner.

Create high-impact, creative web pages with limited creative support and ensure pages are built and maintained for SEO performance and align with accessibility, user and other best practices.

Develop and implement strategies and best practices that increase traffic and engagement, drive conversions, and demonstrate ROI. Monitor effectiveness and success metrics, quantify the impact, identifyopportunities and optimize digital experiences.

Manage the design, ordering and inventory of marketing materials.

Co-manage the admissions marketing and communications budget.

Hire, supervise and coach graduate student marketing team members.

Assist with identifyingthird-party vendors and work closely with the Director of Admissions for Marketing and Communications to execute and manage agreements/partnerships.

Create documentation and communication flow mappings for campaigns.

Support and actively contribute to the goal of achieving greater diversity, inclusion, equity and access at Mines and work effectively with all members of the campus community.
