General Summary:

Provides care for all of the patient population: Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Late Adult within the Medical Imaging/Interventional Radiology Department

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient care for patients that come to the Interventional Radiology Department

  • Ensures that critical or high-risk patients are always attended by the appropriate nursing/technical personnel.

  • Documents patient care/assessment data on the appropriate nursing record including: vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, administration and effectiveness of medication, IV therapy.

  • Educates patients and family

What you will need:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame)

  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred:

  • BSN or MSN preferred.

  • ACLS preferred (or must be obtain with probationary period)

  • 2 years of critical care experience preferred

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Current knowledge of nursing skills and practice

Computer and audiovisual skills using various applications: Internet, email, word processing

Ability to retrieve and interpret data

Effectively read, speak, write, compose and comprehend English

Effective eye and hand coordination

Ability to analyze and synthesize information within a short period of time Effective problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize Ability to work well with individuals and groups
