How you'll make an impact:

The successful candidate will apply their experience in Middleware Software development for embedded systems to expand Sirius XM's software framework used to build automotive and aftermarket products. This individual will be a key member of the team responsible for design, documentation, implementation, and validation of software components used by multiple internal and external customers to launch exciting new satellite radio audio and data services and advanced telematics features. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.

What you'll do:

The Staff Software Engineer will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of software for SiriusXM Satellite Radio systems with focus on the security aspects. Typical duties of the Staff Software Engineer will include:

Review code, provide security guidance, and conduct security testing to identify any vulnerabilities in the software.

Conducting vulnerability assessments by scanning systems and networks for potential vulnerabilities and analyze the results to identify security gaps.

Participate in penetration testing to simulate real-world attacks and identify weak points in the system.

Designing and implementing security solutions.

Participate in monitoring system logs and network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

Investigate security breaches or incidents and take necessary actions to contain the damage and prevent future attacks.
