As a Northrop Grumman Industrial Security Manager 1 , you will be a valuable asset to our dynamic Security team. This is an opportunity to apply your proven security leadership skills covering two dynamic Northrop Grumman facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration across a team of security professionals supporting our Devens, MA and East Hartford, CT locations supporting the Payload & Ground Systems Division within our Space Sector.

The Industrial Security Manager 1 position ensures security compliance with government and company regulations and strives for excellence in executing security milestones across multiple security disciplines (DoD, SAP, & SCI). This position will require direct interface with both internal and external executive level personnel and the ability to successfully manage competing priorities. This security management role oversees all aspects of security activities on all campus' and provides guidance to briefed/non-briefed personnel across all functions within the facility. The Security Manager of the Adaptive Optics team is responsible for developing and maintaining program security metrics, and interfacing with facilities Executive Leadership Team. Additional duties and responsibilities assigned as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with six years of related security experience or Masters degree with four years of related security experience. An additional four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP access.

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge and familiarity with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Joint Air Force, Army, and Navy (JAFAN), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Counterintelligence Polygraph.

  • Past experience in managing Industrial Security programs.

  • Previous security management experience.

  • Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.

  • Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action at resolving challenges.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with security peers and program management team members.

  • Ability to effectively write reports and communicate information with team members and fellow employees.

Salary Range: $104,600 - $156,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
