Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior Member of Technical Staff

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Design, deployment, lab certification and FFA of 3GPP LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA packet core user plane architectures. Design and deliver functional, interoperability, performance, capacity, resiliency and service architecture for CUPS SAEGW (S/PGW) and TDF for LTE/NSA and SMF/UPF for 5G SA. Manage and execute lab certification activities including development/execution of acceptance test plans based on AT&T requirements, vendor and contractor management, and progress reporting. Work closely with outside equipment suppliers to align product roadmaps with AT&T business needs. Coordinate architecture and lab certification activities with peers and across adjacent network functions. Utilize 3GPP standards including Technical Specifications. Utilize 3GPP Interfaces (S1-U, S11, SGi, Gx, Rx, Sy/Gy, N3, N4, N7). Employ protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, QUIC, TLS, Diameter, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GTP). Utilize Linux, virtualization, cloud-native application architecture and hyperscale technology (Openstack, containerized workloads, Kubernetes k8s, Azure). Use specialized test and automation tools/equipment (Spirent and IXIA). Capture and analyze of packet traces and application logs (tcpdump, Wireshark, JAEGER) utilizing Agile/Jira and HP ALM tooling. Use programming/scripting languages (python, perl, Ansible). Employ IMS architecture (VoLTE, IPME). Operate Microsoft Mobility Content Cloud (MCC) Gateway and Unity Cloud (UC) deployment, configuration and testing. Utilize cloud native 5G SA core products from multiple telco vendors.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Information Technology and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation utilizing 3GPP standards including Technical Specifications; utilizing 3GPP Interfaces (S1-U, S11, SGi, Gx, Rx, Sy/Gy, N3, N4, N7); employing protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, QUIC, TLS, Diameter, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GTP); utilizing Linux, virtualization, cloud-native application architecture and hyperscale technology (Openstack, containerized workloads, Kubernetes k8s, Azure); using specialized test and automation tools/equipment (Spirent and IXIA); capturing and analyzing of packet traces and application logs (tcpdump, Wireshark, JAEGER) utilizing Agile/Jira and HP ALM tooling; using programming/scripting languages (python, perl, Ansible); employing IMS architecture (VoLTE, IPME); operating Microsoft Mobility Content Cloud (MCC) Gateway and Unity Cloud (UC) deployment, configuration and testing; and utilizing cloud native 5G SA core products from multiple telco vendors.
