The Boeing Company is looking for Modeling and Simulation Software Engineers to support our Phantom Works Space portfolio by developing Modeling, Simulation, Test, and Training Environments. This opportunity is located in Colorado Springs, CO .

The Delphi program is growing and seeking a software engineer to develop Modeling and Simulation based test and training capabilities for Satellite Digital Twins and Space Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs. We seek a self-driven person who enjoys being on a high-performing team to the support the future of war-gaming, testing, training, exercises, and operational system performance and behavior.

As a member of the Boeing team, you will be responsible for key portions of our software development lifecycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. Our teams are currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Full-stack software development in an Agile framework

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment

  • Implement Modeling & Simulations services within a Container based system design leveraging open standards, micro-services, and model-based engineering tools

  • Developing software requirements

  • Understanding design implementation

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ years of experience coding in either Java, Python, and/or C++ 1+ years of experience with Agile software development

  • 1+ years of experience working within integrated development environments

  • 1+ years of experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test

  • 1+ years of experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), GitLab, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with full stack software development

  • Experience with spacecraft modeling and algorithm design and implementation

  • Experience with developing cloud-based web applications in Kubernetes, AWS or Azure environments

  • Experience with Angular, React, or other Front-End framework

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Associate (Level 2) $85,000 - $115,000

Experienced (Level 3) $104,550 - $141,450
