Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Clearwater, Florida

Description

We are seeking an organized and meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The role also includes monitoring customer credit accounts and taking action on delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions in accounts

• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

• Assist in the preparation of General Ledger account analysis and reconciliation

• Process accounts payable invoices ensuring proper coding and timely payment

• Verify and match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, resolving any payment issues

• Process accounts receivable transactions for timely and accurate invoicing

• Assist with collections efforts by contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and coordinating payment plans

• Support the month-end closing process by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in using QuickBooks

• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and clients

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
