Build a data platform from the ground up to be used for machine learning. Develop technology that minimizes technical debt while maximizing the customer experience by interpreting technology requirements, based on business requirements, and implementing them with maximum impact to the users. Specific duties include: leading end-to-end infrastructure across multiple environments; building infrastructure to deploy production applications in highly available scalable solutions; managing access control policies and security across environments; troubleshooting issues that arise in staging and production environments; implementing systems/tools/processes to monitor performance and security integrity of the technology stack; implementing CI and CD tools and source control using Git; automating the release processes using scripting or appropriate tools; developing infrastructure as code where appropriate; working across multiple stakeholders to ensure engineering product needs are met with infrastructure; managing infrastructure across multiple AWS accounts; using current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and deploy infrastructure that is maintainable and scalable; supporting the engineering development team in the productization of developed solutions. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permissible. Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems Security, or a closely related field of study. Requires 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Devops, Build & Release Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar DevOps or Cloud Solutions Engineering position. Specific experience must include: working with Infrastructure as Code including Terraform, Ansible, and Packer; working with Docker and containerized deployment technologies; working with AWS Services including VPC, EC2, ELB, and RDS; deploying Kubernetes clusters on cloud environments; and working with shell scripting.
