About the Role:

The philosophy of the Product and Engineering team at CloudZero is to empower product teams to solve hard customer and business problems, in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Our Product teams are cross-functional, durable and are composed of Product Management, Product Design and Engineers. The teams have agency to come up with solutions that are usable, viable, valuable and feasible.

CloudZero is looking for a VP Product to lead and be the key driver for all product strategy, planning, execution, and design for the company. This person will lead the product and design organizations and serve on the company’s executive team. This role will be highly visible and impactful; the individual will work closely with all internal executive stakeholders and board members, and they will be a key voice with major customers and partners.

We’re looking for an influential, people and customer focused Product leader to drive the development of an ambitious CloudZero product strategy & roadmap by partnering with the leadership team to define and execute our vision of building a next generation cost intelligence platform. As part of an exciting and early startup, the ideal candidate will roll up their sleeves and work with our aforementioned Product teams to ensure we are delivering delightful and innovative solutions.

You Will:

• Own driving and delivering the product strategy and roadmap for CloudZero’s platform.

• Partner with design and engineering leads to conduct product discovery for small cross-functional product teams.

• Lead the successful launch of everything that the team ships, which means being accountable for the quality of the product solution and the impact it has on both our customers and the business; Defining meaningful outcomes and measuring results against those standards.

• Partner with Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to effectively launch and market our features.

• Grow, inspire, coach, motivate and continuously develop a talented team of Product Managers as CloudZero scales.

• Lead the Product Design function to ensure we deliver captivating and engaging product UX.

A typical day for someone in this role at CloudZero might look like:

• Interfacing with our customers and technology partners to make sure we are solving their problems and understanding future opportunities to deliver even more value.

• Writing clear discovery objectives to ensure everyone on the team has the context they need to do their best work.

• Working closely with design and engineering leads in discovering solutions to the problems outlined and prioritized.

• Collaborating with the product teams building the software via Slack and Zoom to ensure we are iterating towards the correct solutions.

• Working with cross-functional teammates on release messaging for new functionality being released.

• Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on roadmap and product strategy over the next few quarters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience leading Product Management teams in high-growth environments within B2B SaaS

• Experience building applications within the public cloud and knowledge of how the public cloud operates

• Experience managing product within cloud infrastructure and DevOps or FinOps

• Ability to educate and engage all levels of leadership, including strong executive presence.

• Proven start-up experience (ideally series B -> D or $10m -> $50m ARR), or has grown products from 1>10.

• Expertise selling technical software to enterprise companies w/ technical end-users, and with a top-down enterprise sales motion; ideally developers within cloud-native environments

• Ability to design and build products that will differentiate within the competitive landscape

• Ability to embed a vibrant culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement.

• Expertise in creating strong synergies between Product Management, Go-To-Market and Engineering orgs with effective communication and partnerships.

• Direct experience leading design and documentation teams and incorporating best-in-class, modern design principles

• Deep expertise and passion managing, coaching and inspiring a growing team.

• A growth mindset geared toward building meaningful relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with a positive attitude towards organizational change and strong adaptability to shifting priorities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with Kanban methodologies and collaboration tools such as, JIRA, Confluence, Aha, Google Workspace or similar.
