CVS Health Lead Director - Pharmacy Trade Products Specialty Strategy in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary

As the Lead Director on the Pharma Trade Product team, your primary responsibilities will include developing new and innovative specialty programs and services from ideation to execution in collaboration with trade and drug manufacturer partners. Emphasis on strategizing and driving services/insights on programs, products, and opportunities; understanding the specialty landscape around programs, data and analytics, product design, end-to-end product build and execution, strategic partnerships with drug manufacturers, and rapid business case evaluation.

You will support the development and execution of strategic and tactical solutions, enhancements, patient journey mapping, and segment analyses, as well as align internal stakeholders on progress and next steps. You will be focused on the flawless execution of innovative solutions as well as oversite of direct reports.

In this role you will:

  • Support and lead the strategy and end to end development of specialty pharmacy and enterprise programs for specialty disease states in collaboration with trade and drug manufacturers including defining project requirements, project plans, process definitions, commercialization, and sales strategies, defining success measures, and ongoing product improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with the organization leadership team, data and analytics teams and other functions to drive Services and Data Insights products, to identify and understand new use cases, and build/lead their implementation.

  • Develop rapid business case development leveraging both internal and external sources of information to make rapid business decisions.

  • Design, construct, and execute complex analyses to meet business case requirements.

  • Engage cross-functionally across the organization to design solutions, develop test and implementation plans, drive results, and resolve issues encountered by the team

  • In partnership with Specialty Trade, Clinical Managers and Specialty Pharmacy Product teams, strategize, create, consultation, and or refine value statements, business/initiative proposals, Legal vetting and approval, Scope of Services, Fair Market Value, and Statements of Work

  • Build, execute, and report product requirements & KPIs for internal and external teams.

  • Develop internal product training and other business release management related artifact.

  • Deep dive on communication and activation channels, along with services for patients, providers, and payers to support Trade Strategy non data product, market research, consultation on non-assigned work, reports, internal documentation of processes, guardrails, etc.

  • Be accountable as a product owner to monitor product performance and proactively identify and address issues.

  • Lead product roadmap through incorporating competitive intelligence, leveraging resources and knowledge across team to deliver results.

  • Lead and be inspirational to direct reports.

  • Think enterprise and join forces with others to ensure we have the best patient experience and outcomes possible.

  • Interpret data to build actionable insights to improve the product or identify new opportunities and be able to speak to those insights internally or externally in a clear and simple way

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience with specialty pharmacy or biopharmaceutical industry, including 3 years implementing patient services or programs.

  • Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, including a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Critical thinking with ability to manage and construct complex models to meet business case requirements with superior analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

  • 10 years’ experience of strong diagnostic capabilities: ability to work with cross functional teams to identify key areas for opportunity within a brief period of time.

  • 5 Years product development experience

  • Experience with multitasking, prioritizing work, and effective communication that is clear, logical, and consistent.

  • High energy and works with sense of urgency to deliver results.

  • Highest level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Innovative mindset and ability to plan, monitor and deliver project results.

  • Strong business acumen, credibility with colleagues and communication skills required to represent requirements to cross-functional teams and partner with stakeholders .

  • Must be results-oriented; possess ability to set the right expectations based upon the timelines and workload of cross functional stakeholders; drive the project and keep others on task to meet goals.

  • 5 Years experience of excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop and deliver presentations to multi-level leadership and operational audiences.

  • 10 years’ experience as a pharmacist, healthcare consultant, or related Healthcare degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, able to develop cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Proven skills in strategic thinking and analytics

  • Ability and flexibility to travel up to 25%.

  • Experience developing patient interventions to drive better outcomes.

  • Project management experience

  • Deep understanding of pharmacy

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Masters or Doctorate Degree is preferred

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, healthcare consultant, related healthcare degree

  • Analytics degree or experience is a plus

  • Advanced clinical degree or experience is a plus

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
