Google Consolidation Accounting Analyst in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or other professional accounting accreditation.

  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

  • Experience with intercompany and consolidation accounting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP systems including data flow for consolidation, eliminations, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP for consolidations, investments, and structured transactions.

  • Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and focus on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.

  • Excellent problem solving, technical accounting, and project management skills.

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You'll lead an accounting process. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

  • Manage close activities and present month-end results to management.

  • Advise on financial reports required by government regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.

  • Identify opportunities to centralize, eliminate, or automate activities.

  • Review processes and implement controls to ensure we are mitigating risk for Alphabet/Google.

  • Manage, establish, implement global processes for the accounting of initiatives (ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and operational excellence), and prepare for, and assist with internal, SOX, and external audits.
