AGI - Personal Grounding Services (PGS) builds fundamental services within AGI to deliver the capabilities of enabling personalization and increasing personalization depth for the interactions between customers and Amazon LLM-enabled systems. Our vision is to enable a billion people to have a personalized relationship with LLM enabled devices and endpoints.

We are seeking talents to design and build the solution to measure whether and how much personalized the interactions are, work with different teams to continuously improve Machine-Learning based model performance, and eventually increase the personalization depth to deliver customer the most personalized experiences. The candidate is expected to be able to deliver in an environment with a high velocity and lots of ambiguities by working across multiple roles from both internal and external partner teams, including Data Scientist, Business Intelligence, UX Designer, Product, etc.

Key job responsibilities

The Software Development Engineer will:

  • Build solution to identify whether a request from customer is personalizable, whether the response from LLM-based devices or systems are personalized, and measure the personalization depth.

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to continuously improve Machine-Learning model performance, and eventually increase the personalization depth to provide customers the most personalized experiences.

  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility.

  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
