GCyber is currently seeking a highly skilled and certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to lead our efforts in planning and designing advanced cable infrastructure within the DoD environment. This role requires technical expertise, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of telecommunications and building technologies systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a senior or lead RCDD, with extensive experience in maintaining Inside Plant infrastructure and developing installation plans for telecommunication systems.

As a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), you will:

• Serve as the lead authority in planning, designing, and oversight of cable infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements of the DoD environment.

• Conduct comprehensive site visits for data collection and evaluation, assessing the telecommunications and building technologies systems, equipment, components, and materials.

• Oversee the maintenance of Inside Planr cable infrastructure including conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and all associated elements, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.

• Develop detailed Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) for the installation of cable racks, wiring, and testing required during installation, adhering to the latest codes and technologies.

• Stay current with codes, standards, and technologies appropriate to the telecommunications and building technologies design/construction industry, applying this knowledge to all projects and initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with senior clients and stakeholders, participating in meeting to ensure that client needs are met and that projects are aligned with strategic objectives.

  Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Information Systems, Engineering, or Telecommunications.

• 5+ years of direct experience as an RCDD, with a focus on planning and designing cable infrastructure in support of DoD requirements.

• 5+ years in a senior or lead RCDD role, showcasing leadership in large-scale and complex telecommunications projects.

• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.

• Demonstrated ability in maintaining and overseeing Inside Plane cable infrastructure.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing EIPs for the installation and testing of telecommunications infrastructure.
