As a Inside and Outside Plant Design Engineer (RCDD) supporting JSP-ETM, you will be trusted to design and document new and/or updated Inside Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements in the Pentagon, Mark Center, and buildings within the NCR supported by JSP. In this role, a typical day will include: -Follow JSP and commercial best practice procedures, standards and/or provide Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) required for installation of outside plant cables and underground infrastructure. -Rely on solid knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage and telecommunications systems

Education BA/BS in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree

Qualifications 14 years of related telecommunications experience Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification required Minimum DOD Active Secret Clearance Must be well versed in BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. Minimum 8 years developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling. Minimum 5 years developing layout and design for outside plant infrastructure systems. Strong Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices regarding the installation and maintenance of outside plant infrastructure.
