The Role

The Italian Sous Chef will be responsible to assist in running the Lombard kitchen operation, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, propose, describe and price menus that are appropriate for the outlet operation, the market and the desired business goals.

  • Oversee the kitchen stations and staff to ensure that food products are prepared according to the standards required.

  • Follow standard recipes and minimize waste to help ensure that the outlet’s food cost is in line with budget.

  • Assist in hiring, training and developing the kitchen staff, as well as maintaining and building a strong employee morale.

  • Ability to maintain food safety as per standards, in all stages of storing, preparing and serving.

  • Suggest alternative menu items, meet specific guests’ requests and interact with guests’ to meet and exceed their expectations.

  • Be up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products on the market.

  • Ensure that the outlet food cost is managed in line with maximizing profit while delivering on the brand promise.

Qualifications:

  • 2 -3 year experience as in a similar role.

  • Working knowledge in English language.

  • Ability to use computer systems.

  • Knowledge in kitchen cost control.
