GCyber is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to provide expert leadership and direction in the planning and designing of advanced cable infrastructure projects for our high-profile DoD client. This role demands a high level of technical expertise in telecommunications and building technologies systems, as well as a strong leadership presence to guide and mentor teams towards achieving excellence in infrastructure design and implementation.

As a Senior Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), you will:

• Lead the design and planning of complex cable infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet all DoD requirements, as well as current codes and industry standards.

• Conduct comprehensive site visits to gather data and evaluate the existing telecommunications and building technologies systems, equipment, components, and materials, ensuring the development of well-informed and effective design plans.

• Oversee the maintenance of Inside Plant cable infrastructure, including conduits, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber optics, and all associated elements, ensuring a robust and reliable communications network.

• Develop and Implement equipment Installation Plans (EIPs) for the setup of cable racks, wiring, and necessary testing during installation, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

• Stay abreast of the latest codes and technologies relevant to the telecommunications and building technologies design/construction industry, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

• Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced staff, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in cable infrastructure design and implementation.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for senior clients, effectively communicating project plans, progress, and outcomes, ensuring client needs and expectations are met.

• Participate in strategic decision-making processes, evaluating new applications, infrastructure decisions, and cloud solutions to align with the broader business strategy and technological landscape.

• Lead by example in on-call troubleshooting and issue resolution, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills under pressure.

  Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Secret Clearance required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline such as Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent; a Master’s degree is preferred to demonstrate advanced knowledge and commitment to continuous learning.

• 10+ years of relevant experience as a RCDD, with a proven track record of leading and designing cable infrastructure projects in a DoD environment.

• Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification, affirming your expertise and commitment to the field of telecommunications design.

• Demonstrated excellence in mathematics and IT, with strong capabilities in preparing detailed cost estimates, using relevant software tools, and managing complex projects.

• Exceptional managerial, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams, manage projects, and engage with high-level stakeholders effectively.
