VES, LLC seeks a highly accomplished UI/UX Developer to create amazing user experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and minimalist design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. You'll be working on a team of exceptionally smart people to design and build cutting edge technology and push the envelope of what is possible in design.

Requirements:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Execute all user experience design and user interaction design stages from requirements to final hand-off to development
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Create sketches, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate the member journey
• Present and articulate design concepts to team members, stakeholders and leadership
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
• Promote UX design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Ensure design engagements are executed on time and at a high standard

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of UI design principles
• Familiar with web-based map engines including Leaflet, OpenLayers, MapBox, ArcGIS
• Familiar with Visual Studio Tools for Office
• Fully develop and release Android or iOS applications
• Develop unit tests and useful code documentation
• Passionate about learning new technologies, tools, and platforms
• Experience with Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git).

Required Education and Experience:

• 2-5 years of UX/UI experience
• BS in Graphic Design, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with respect to all above requirements.
